Ballot Counting for Mailed Ballots - November 12 at 9am

 


The Town Clerk’s office will be holding a counting session for all mailed ballots postmarked by November 5th and received by November 8th.

Board of Registrars Public Meeting, November 15, 2024, Town Clerk Office

 


The Board of Registrars will hold a public Meeting on Friday, November 15th, 2024 at 6:00pm in the Town Clerk’s Office in order to:

Count the following types of ballots:

  • Ballots mailed by voters from outside the US postmarked on or before November 5th and received by November 15th at 5pm.
  • All Federal Write-in Absentee Ballots postmarked on or before November 5th and received by November 15th at 5pm.

Seeking Volunteers for the Transfer Station Corrective Action Committee

 


The Town of Ashby Selectboard would like to form a Transfer Station Corrective Action Committee consisting of 3 residents, to guide the Town on ways to run the transfer station more efficiently and review its deficits.

Burn Ban in Effect for Ashby Until Further Notice

 


Be advised a fire ban is being implemented in Ashby until further notice. No outside fires or spark emitting devices are to be used, including previously permitted burns, cooking and recreational fires. This includes fires associated with fire pits, chimeneas, outdoor fireplaces, and cooking and heating equipment that are not specifically covered under 310 CMR 7.07, the Open Burning regulation. This is in alignment with the advisement of FCAM and MEMA.

State Election, November 5, 2024 at the Ashby Elementary School, 7am-8pm

 


The State Election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 5th, 2024 from 7am to 8pm at the Ashby Elementary School. Here are important dates to note:

  • Absentee and Vote-by-Mail ballots will be available starting Monday October 7th
  • Deadline for applications (Absentee and Vote-by-Mail) is Tuesday October 29th, 2024.
  • Last day/time to vote in-office Absentee: Monday November 4th at 12noon.

Applications (Absentee and Vote-by-Mail) can be found on the Town’s website (www.ashbyma.gov) or by calling/emailing the Town Clerk’s office: 978-386-2424 x121, tclerk@ashbyma.gov.
