Announcement From TAYBS (Townsend Ashby Youth Baseball & Softball) – Scam Alert

 

Hello TA-mily,

It has come to our attention that a person, using the name Marvin Wilson, has been calling local businesses posing as a representative of Pepperell Youth Baseball, trying to sell field banners. No person by that name is a representative for Pepperell, or for the Townsend Ashby programs. If you are ever approached by someone claiming to be part of any of our local organizations, please reach out to sponsors@taybs.org or call me directly at 978-729-3383 for verification.

Please note that TAYBS, will never accept a credit card or your bank information over the phone for any service, and the only address to ever mail checks to is to our official address, which is PO Box 443, Townsend, MA 01469.

Also, there is a long running continued scam where you will get an email, with what looks like an email from one of our board members or coaches asking you to purchase a gift card for the league. This is a scam, and if you ever get these emails, you can ignore it. If you believe it might be legitimate, you can call 978-729-3383 for verification.
