Ashby Police Department – Part Time Public Safety Dispatchers
The Ashby Police Department is currently seeking applicants for the position of Part-Time Civilian Public Safety Dispatcher(s). Responsibilities include but are not limited to; receiving emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching Police/Fire/EMS personnel, data entry into a records management system.
Applicants must have; HS diploma or GED, availability and willingness to work “all” shifts including weekends and holidays, flexible and short notice availability is required. Those who possess certifications in E911, EMD, CPR, and CJIS certifications, and prior experience are preferred. Excellent communication skills including verbal and written, basic computer skills, and the ability to multi-task are required. Applicants must pass a background and CORI check prior to employment.
These position(s) are part-time and do not receive benefits. The hourly rate while training is $12/hour which will increase to $15.15 at the conclusion of successful training. Part-time wages increase to $15.30 on June 30, 2015. Letters of interest and resumes will be accepted until the position is filled.
