Burn Ban Lifted in Ashby
As cooler temperatures, higher relative humidity, and precipitation move in across Massachusetts, the extreme risk of outdoor fires spreading and growing quickly has declined significantly. Ashby Fire Department has decided to discontinue the burn ban in town.
We remind all residents to continue using caution and common sense with any fire.
Open Burning season runs from January 15 to May 1 in Ashby but cooking fires are now allowed again due to the favorable weather conditions.

(REMINDER) Burn Ban in Effect for Ashby Until Further Notice
Be advised a fire ban is being implemented in Ashby until further notice. No outside fires or spark emitting devices are to be used, including previously permitted burns, cooking and recreational fires. This includes fires associated with fire pits, chimeneas, outdoor fireplaces, and cooking and heating equipment that are not specifically covered under 310 CMR 7.07, the Open Burning regulation. This is in alignment with the advisement of FCAM and MEMA.
