Natural Resource Protection Zoning Bylaw Presentation, April 18, 2023 At 7pm

 

The Planning Board invites you to join a public conversation on Natural Resources Protection Zoning Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 7:00 pm (by Zoom).

There will be a presentation by Jeff Lacy of Rural Planning Associates. Jeff has been working with the Planning Board since 2021 to develop this proposed bylaw.

Natural resources protection zoning is intended to protect the rural character of Ashby, even as it grows. It can help large landowners realize income from their land while still preserving 80% as open space.

Multiple Town wide surveys over the past 30 years consistently place the preservation of Ashby’s rural character as a top priority for residents. This proposed Natural Resources Protection Zoning bylaw (NRPZ) addresses this priority. The Planning Board believes that it would be a valuable tool to help preserve the rural character of town.

There will be ample time for questions.
