4th Annual Ashby Legion Car Show, Sunday, Sept. 1st at Allen Field, from 8:30 am on. 30 classes of vehicles, admission $2.00 kids under 12 free. Food & beverages, music, 50/50 raffle. All proceeds help veterans in need. (Rain date Sept. 2nd)

Job Opening for Solid Waste Attendant at Transfer Station

Solid Waste Attendant

The Town of Ashby has an opening for a Solid Waste Attendant. This is a part time position. Work hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at the Ashby Recycle Center & Transfer Station. Pay is $14.28 an hour. Candidates must be over 18.
Duties include monitoring and assisting the townspeople in trash disposal, recyclable materials separation, and collection of fees. Must be able to lift heavy items.
This requires working outside in all weather conditions. There are no heated buildings at the Transfer Station.

Gentle Yoga Class for Age 50 & Over

Gentle Yoga class with instructor Roberta Flashman for people age 50 and older. The summer session will be FREE and run for 8 weeks beginning Aug. 3rd - Sept. 21 from 8-9 a.m. Saturday mornings at Town Hall in the Land Use room. Participants should wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing and bring yoga mats if they have them. Extra mats will be available.

Registration is by calling the COA office at 978-386-2424 ext. 27 and leaving their name or people can register at the first class. If anyone has questions about the class, they can call Roberta at 978-386-7104.
